Red Rose Formal
During the Spring Semester, the brothers gather up their dates and hit the road for a weekend of fun, food, and sociability. We generally rent out a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN and leave the worries and stress of school behind us. And of course we love to feed ourselves, as you can see here we dress up one night and go out for a dining experience like no other!
School of Agriculture-Faculty Appreciation Dinner
The brothers appreciate what the faculty and staff of the School of Agriculture do for them throughout the entire year. To show this, we hold a Thanksgiving Dinner in honor of these individuals. The fraternity provides the turkey, ham and drinks and the ladies of Lambda Alpha Sigma provide the side dishes and desserts.
TTU Homecoming Week is an eventful week for the brothers of Ag Sig. The brothers decorate a float and enter it in the Homecoming Parade before the football game. We also participate in competitions throughout the week against other Greek organizations on campus. We have many alumni that come back and join us this weekend as well.
Carvin' Out Cancer
Every year around Halloween the brother's of Ag Sig along with help from the sisters of Lambda Alpha Sigma host "Carvin' out Cancer" a pumpkin carving contest to raise money and awareness for the Testicular Cancer Society. We host the event on the University Center's South Patio.
TD's for Testes
This philanthropy is in its first year and is a flag football tournament between women representing various campus organizations. This event is held on the intramural fields and also has a punt-pass-kick competition for the men of various campus organizations to compete in. All proceeds from this event go to raise money for the Testicular Cancer Society.
Delta Gamma 'Anchor Splash'
Anchor Splash is a competitive philanthropic event held every year for sororities, fraternities, and all other campus groups that helps raise money for Delta Gamma's Foundation of Aid to the Service for Sight. Events range from the serious swimming heats to the fun relay races. The entire day culminates in the synchronized swimming competition where anything goes. In Fall 2011, with the help of Greek Life, Epsilon Epsilon chapter was able to donate over $5000 to Service for Sight! We were more than happy to participate in this event for such a great cause!
